I got a bad taste in my mouth from the Red Cross. When tens of thousands of acres were burning and many of my neighbors homes burned the only thing the Red Cross did was drive WAY too fast in their brand new air conditioned 4x4 Jeeps and dust us out. Then never even offered us water to wash the dust out of our mouths from their lack of respect driving. They just stopped long enough to explain to us how important they were. Watch us a minute as we stood there watching our homes being engulfed by a mile wide wall of flame. Then sped off, again dusting us out. Assholes.

I'm sure it was a (fairly) isolated incident though and they do a lot of good.. sometimes. But keep in mind your Red Cross donations don't all go to helping people in need. They go to things like brand new Jeeps for them too.
